Gisèle A. Lubsen is a critically acclaimed photographer whose work has been exhibited and published in the US and internationally. Her photography, entirely shot underwater, simultaneously creates a unique photographic studio like environment and a spiritual transformational experience. The final images conjure the intense, provoking imagery of Caravaggio’s paintings, but captured in live motion, with living, vibrant models.
This special event will feature a benefit "silent auction" of two rare art pieces in support of The Global Union & Global Houmard and Co. Foundation, respectively one of the charitable solutions of the Permanent Mission that promotes universal, sustainable safety, peace and prosperity in Third World Countries.
The renowned fashion designer Xandra Myriam will make a special appearance, and will talk about how her silk gowns manifest their true essence in many of Gisèle's underwater photographs.
